Health is defined as the overall mental and physical state of a person,the absence of disease. Wellness refers to the state of being in optimal mental and physical health. Wellness it’s about living a life full of personal responsibility and therefore taking proactive steps for one’s entire well-being. This means that a person living life very well controls risk factors that can harm them. Risk factors are different types of actions or conditions that increase a person’s chances for illness or injury.

Lifestyle is defined as a manner of living that reflects the person’s values and attitudes. It’s how you live your life, reflecting the choices and decisions you make. A healthy lifestyle then, is living life in a way that promotes physical and mental well-being. The four primary factors that contribute to living a healthy lifestyleare : nutrition, physical activity, sleep and stress handling. Your personal decisions and choices on how you use those primary factors in your life are part of your lifestyle. If improving your health is one of your goals, educating yourself about nutrition is one of the first steps you can take.
