Let’s talk about … healthy and unhealthy habits

Being healthy is about consistency and lifestyle.

Unhealthy habits are various kinds of negative behaviors that are repeated over and over by individuals. The consequences of these faulty habits can range from minor to very destructive to individuals and to society.

There are numerous bad habits. Unfortunately, I could not cover all of them, but here you have some examples:

  • skipping breakfast;
  • oversleeping;
  • multi-tasking;
  • negative self-talk;
  • smoking;
  • excessive alcohol;
  • watching t.v. before going to bed;
  • not exercising;
  • being negative and stressed;
  • eating junk food.

What do you have to do? Well , you must understand each bad habit that you are doing and realize how damaging and destructive can be for your life, and then slowly end bad habits and develop good habits. 🙂

Being healthy involves more than eating salad or going for a short walk once every few weeks, you’ll need to put in some effort, your health is well worth it. To live a healthy lifestyle, consistently choose healthy foods, fit more exercise and physical activity into your daily routine, and practice good hygiene.  You’ll also need to avoid unhealthy habits, like fad dieting and neglecting sleep. Making lifestyle improvements may require some gradual adjustment, but improved health is readily accessible once you commit to it.

So, eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, limit television and computer use, be active for at least one hour a day( if you can’t go to the gym , target 10.000 steps a day), be kind to yourself and others :-), get plenty of sleep, wash your hands, find time to relax , eatjunk food and sweets only occasionally , have a bath or shower every day and reduce stress.

To keep the body in good health is a duty… otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.Buddha

What new habit would you like to adopt?
